Preparing for Your Season with MVMT

WELCOME TO THE DIAMOND MVMT

We're excited to have you in the family! Whether you're OPD, D3, DCO, or BBYD, we want to make sure you're set up for success from the very start. Being a Diamond is more than just showing up to rehearsals — it's about preparation, professionalism, and pride. Here's what you need to know to start strong!

1. HYGIENE & PERSONAL PRESENTATION

How you show up matters — pro tips:

- Hair styled and kept up (no bonnets)

- Shower before rehearsals or shows

- Deodorant on — bring an extra if you need it

- Nails neat and performance-ready (nothing that blocks your movement)

- Light scents only — fresh, not heavy

- Cameras can pop out anytime — stay ready.

2. WHAT'S IN YOUR DANCER BAG

Pack this for every rehearsal and performance:

- Water bottle (stay hydrated)

- Snacks (light, energy-boosting, avoid messy foods)

- Dance shoes specific to your division

- Practice attire (fitted and appropriate)

- Extra tights/socks

- Warm-up gear (MVMT apparel or all-black jogging suit if no warm-up yet)

- Towel or sweat cloth

- Hair supplies (brush, ties, bobby pins, gel)

- Personal hygiene kit (deodorant, wipes, feminine products if needed)

3. REHEARSAL ETIQUETTE

Rehearsal Starts Before You Walk In:

- Arrive early and be ready to start on time

- No phones during practice unless instructed

- Come focused and ready to work — warm up on your own before we begin

- Support your teammates — encourage, don't distract

- Each division may have its own hair, nail, or shoe requirements

- Check your division's rehearsal reminders in the newsletter or group chat

4. ORDER & ACCOUNTABILITY

Own Your Role, Move with Intention

- Listen first — be open to direction and feedback

- Follow chain of communication — captains and leaders are here to help

- Be responsible for your role — missing items or not being prepared affects the whole group

THE DIAMOND STANDARD

We don't just train dancers — we build artists who are prepared, professional, and powerful. Come ready. Stay ready. Shine every time!
