The Momentum Volunteer Program (MVP) is a philanthropic program established in partnership with MVMT Foundation (MVMT) and Buck Out Cleveland (BOC). This program is committed to harnessing the collective power of our community to advance the missions of both organizations.

Mission

Our mission is to empower volunteers to actively contribute to building a vibrant and inclusive dance community throughout the Midwest. Through their dedication, skills, and passion, volunteers will help us create opportunities for aspiring dance professionals, foster connections among artists, and eliminate barriers to cultural equity and diversity in the dance industry.

Vision

Our vision is for MVP  to become a driving force in illuminating the Midwest as a leading hub for dance training, instruction, and performance. We envision a thriving community of volunteers working collaboratively with MVMT x BOC executive team and board members to generate feasible career opportunities for aspiring dance professionals, irrespective of their cultural backgrounds, racial inequities, or ethnicity. By 2025, we aim to have a diverse and engaged volunteer network that plays a vital role in realizing our vision.

Objectives

  1. Engage volunteers actively and empower them to take ownership of their roles within the program.

  2. Create a strong sense of community among volunteers, dancers, parents, and stakeholders.

  3. Measure and enhance the impact of volunteer efforts on MVMT’s x BOC’s mission(s).

  4. Promote cultural equity and inclusivity within the dance community.

  5. Provide career development opportunities for aspiring dance professionals.

  6. Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan to secure financial support and cultivate long-term relationships with donors, foundations, and sponsors who share our commitment to dance education and cultural equity.

By focusing on these objectives, the Momentum Volunteer Program will contribute to the enrichment of the Midwest’s dance community while championing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the arts.
