MDF WEEK IS HERE 🤎

As we officially enter MVMT Dance Fest week, we know many teams, directors, choreographers, captains, and performers are currently deep in rehearsals, final prep, cleaning, transitions, travel coordination, and overall show-week mode.

With that in mind, we wanted to create one centralized space for all final MDF performer information, schedules, expectations, reminders, and updates as we move toward show day.

At this stage, all participating teams should already have:
• Completed acceptance
• Performer registration finalized
• Music submitted

MUSIC SUBMISSIONS

Please note that music submissions were due previously and are currently being organized into overall production flow, transitions, scheduling, and show programming for MDF weekend.

If your team has NOT submitted music, please handle this IMMEDIATELY by sending all final files to:

Delays in music submissions directly impact production flow and overall show planning.

PERFORMER REGISTRATION

Please remember:
Performers who are NOT fully registered will NOT be permitted to participate in tech or receive performer access during MDF weekend.

Please note: We have extended performer registration and final completion requirements through Thursday EOD to allow teams additional time during show-week preparations.

Originally, we planned to host a live MDF meeting this Tuesday. However, understanding that many teams are fully focused on rehearsal schedules and final preparations this week, we’ve decided to instead provide this landing page as a centralized MDF hub where all important information, schedules, updates, reminders, and expectations can be accessed throughout the week.

As we move toward Saturday, we also encourage all participating teams, performers, alumni, and supporters to continue showing love online and helping build excitement around MDF week by sharing flyers, reposting content, tagging us, and engaging throughout the week.

Mandatory Full Production Meeting (Day of the show)

All performers must be fully ready and inside the space by 7:00 PM for our mandatory full production meeting.

This meeting is required for all performers, directors, captains, and teams so everyone can:

Understand the full flow of production
Learn show lineup placements
Review stage flow, transitions, entrances, and exits
Confirm expectations before showtime
Ensure all performers are aligned and prepared before the show begins

IMPORTANT DAY-OF COMMUNICATION

All teams, directors, captains, and performers should plan to ARRIVE EARLY and remain present inside the space throughout production.

To help ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout show day, a group chat including directors/team representatives will be created the day of MDF for real-time production communication, updates, lineup flow, timing adjustments, and important announcements.

Please ensure at least one active representative from your team is responsive and available throughout the event day.

MVMT Dance Fest is more than a showcase.

It is a space where generations, styles, teams, creatives, and communities come together through movement, artistry, culture, and passion.

This weekend is about showing up FULLY.
Not just for your own performance — but for the overall experience, the environment, and the community being built inside the room.

We encourage/require all performers, directors, teams, and supporters to:

• Stay engaged throughout the show
• Support and celebrate other teams
• Bring energy into the space
• Be present for the moments happening around you
• Help create an atmosphere that feels electric from beginning to end

The energy of MDF is created collectively by EVERY person in the building.

TELL YOUR SUPPORTERS DON’T WAIT UNTIL SHOW DAY.

MDF is built through community, energy, and the people inside the room. The atmosphere matters — and every team plays a role in helping create that experience.

Please also encourage supporters to secure tickets BEFORE the day of the event.

Day-of ticket pricing will increase at the door, and we strongly encourage supporters to purchase in advance rather than waiting until show day.

• Check in
• Ensure every performer is registered
• Receive wristbands
• Be fully prepared before your scheduled tech slot

Wristbands will ONLY be issued directly to registered performers.

PERFORMER REGISTRATION EXTENSION

Performer registration has TEMPORARILY been extended through Thursday EOD.

If you have not completed your individual performer registration, please ensure this is completed immediately to avoid issues with performer access, wristbands, tech rehearsal participation, and final roster placement.
