YOU’RE OFFICIALLY IN THE HALFTIME LINEUP

Your team has officially been selected to perform in HALFTIME: An HBCU-Inspired Dance Showcase, taking place Sunday, November 22 at 5:00 PM EST at Greenwood Fieldhouse, 411 South Madison Ave., Greenwood, IN 46142.

We’re excited to welcome your organization, dancers, coaches, directors, and supporters into an experience designed to celebrate the energy, tradition, culture, and community that make HBCU performance spaces so special.

This page will serve as your home base for official team registration, show requirements, important deadlines, performer registration, music submission, and everything you need to prepare for show day.

FIRST THINGS FIRST: ACCEPT YOUR SPOT

Selected teams must officially accept their invitation and complete team registration by:

OCTOBER 9, 2026

Completing your registration confirms your team’s participation in Halftime and allows our production team to begin building the official show lineup.

THE HALFTIME STANDARD

Halftime is more than a collection of performances. We are intentionally creating an experience that feels like HBCU culture.

Your performance should reflect, celebrate, or pay homage to the energy and traditions found within HBCU performance culture.

That may show up through:

Majorette • Dance • Step • Drill • Drumline • Band-Inspired Performance • HBCU Traditions • Musicality • Showmanship • Call-and-Response • Creative Storytelling

We are not asking every team to look the same.

We want you to bring your team’s identity into the experience while finding an authentic way to connect your performance to the spirit of Halftime.

Think stadium energy. Battle-of-the-bands excitement. Homecoming. Pride. Tradition. Community.

Bring us a SHOW.

Final Performance Music Due

All music must be submitted in its final performance-ready version.

Music must be:

  • Clean and appropriate for the event

  • High-quality and clearly audible

  • Fully edited

  • Submitted as the exact version your team will perform to

Please do not submit temporary edits or unfinished mixes.

NOVEMBER 15

Performance Video Due for Tech + Production Review

This is one of our most important production deadlines.

Teams will submit a video showing the performance they plan to present at Halftime.

This allows our production team to understand your performance structure, entrances, exits, energy, staging needs, and overall presentation as we strategically build the flow of the show.

Halftime is being designed as one complete experience, not simply a list of performances.

Reviewing each routine helps us determine where performances should live within the program so that the energy of the show continues to build from beginning to end.

Your performance does not have to be filmed as a finished production. We simply need a clear representation of what we should expect on show day.

NOVEMBER 15 • 5:00 PM EST 4:00 PM CST

Official Team Information Meeting

All participating teams should have a director, coach, or designated team leader represented.

The director, coach, or group leader who completes the official team registration will be the primary contact and will receive the meeting invitation and future team-leader communications.

If you would like another leader from your organization to attend, you may share the meeting invitation with them.

We ask that each participating organization have no more than two team leaders attend the meeting.

During this meeting, we will walk through:

  • Show-day expectations

  • Arrival and check-in

  • Rehearsal and staging

  • Backstage flow

  • Performance order and production

  • Music and technical expectations

  • Performer expectations

  • Venue procedures

  • Audience and ticket information

  • Final reminders and deadlines

There will also be dedicated time for teams to ask questions directly to the Halftime production team.

HELP US FILL THE HOUSE

Halftime is rooted in community, and part of creating the atmosphere we envision means bringing that community into the building.

Our ask is simple:

We’re challenging every performer to bring at least TWO people with them to experience Halftime.

Parents. Family. Friends. Alumni. Teammates. Supporters.

The performers create what happens on the floor — but the people in the stands create the atmosphere around it.

We want the room to feel alive.

So when tickets open, we’re asking every participating organization to help us spread the word and invite your community to experience the show with you.

MUSIC REQUIREMENTS

Please remember that all performance music must be clean.

Final music should be professionally edited or presented in the highest quality available. Avoid low-volume files, distorted audio, unfinished cuts, abrupt edits, or recordings pulled from another device.

What you submit on November 15 should be the exact file you want used during your performance.

YOUR HALFTIME PERFORMANCE VIDEO

After Halftime, participating performers and organizations will receive access to professionally captured media from the experience, including a video of their showcased performance.

We want teams to be able to not only experience the moment — but have something that allows them to remember it, share it, and celebrate the work they brought to the Halftime stage.

KNOW A GREAT VENDOR?

Vendor applications for Halftime are also open.

If you know a business, brand, creative, organization, or entrepreneur that would be a great fit for our audience and the Halftime experience, we encourage you to share the vendor opportunity with them.

LET’S BRING HALFTIME TO LIFE

You were selected because we believe your organization can contribute something special to this experience.

Now it’s time to build it together.

Bring your identity.

Bring your culture.

Bring your people.

Bring your energy.

And bring us a SHOW.
